Meet Kareem, a WU+GraceKennedy Scholar from Jamaica studying biology at Claflin University in the U.S. Kareem chose to study biology and pursue his dream of being a physician. He plans to go on to medical school and one day hopes to own his own lab to research cures for some of the world's most debilitating diseases.

Many young people around the world, like Kareem, are striving for a quality education that improves their career prospects in the future. But they do it for more than themselves. They work hard to support their family and friends, as well as their community.

GraceKennedy and the Western Union Foundation believe in investing in students like Kareem that will make a positive difference in the lives they touch. "It demonstrates that you are a part of the community," says Noel Greenberg, Senior Vice President at GraceKennedy. "To recognize that through your giving, someone is benefitting, what a blessing that is."

GraceKennedy and Western Union are proud to support scholarships for students around the world like Kareem.
