Who We Help

The Western Union Foundation is dedicated to creating a better world, where the ability to realize dreams through education and economic opportunity is not just a privilege for the few, but a right for all. Our giving helps:

  • Students, particularly those in secondary or vocational education
  • Entrepreneurs and small-business owners
  • Migrants, immigrants and their families
  • Families left behind by a relative living and working abroad
  • People affected by natural disasters
  • Western Union® consumers and their families
  • Individuals, families and entire communities most in need around the world

Grantmaking

Grants to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) help people most in need around the world by supporting secondary and vocational education as a pathway to economic opportunity. Grants also provide funds for disaster relief and rebuilding. Western Union employees and business partners participate by volunteering their time in the community and through Foundation giving programs. Learn more
